Overview

Timbers Toolbox provides tools for autonomous coding, research, Neo4j, file operations, media, and a secondary agent. It bridges the LLM and your local environment (Windows primary).

What works in this build

File system — workspace-aware CRUD, search, fuzzy find
Code execution — Python / Deno JS / shell when permissions are enabled
Git / GitHub CLI — when enabled
Web / RAG — search, fetch, local RAG (needs embedding model)
Neo4j — query, CRUD, path/graph; bulk load via neo4j_run_cypher_file / neo4j_run_script
Memory — hot/cold files + optional Neo4j sync; semantic search when embeddings available
Secondary agent — consult/delegate with packaged instructions
Media / archives / data formats / automation — as registered tools allow

Neo4j setup

Plugin settings: neo4j.uri, neo4j.username, neo4j.password
neo4j_test_connection to verify

Secondary agent

Frequency: always / when_useful / hard_tasks / off (config)
Soft hints are appended to the user message by the preprocessor — not hard forced user speech
Packaged instructions/SUB_AGENT_INSTRUCTIONS.md is preferred over workspace copies

Install / develop

Security

Shell, browser, Python/JS, GitHub CLI, and DB credentials are privileged. Enable only for trusted chats. Not an OS sandbox.
