Model: ibm/granite-4-h-tiny (auto-loaded context: 1048576) Chat: "Unnamed Chat" (LM Studio, vibeLM plugin, real tools attached)
~/Desktop/sandbox/weather-cli and cleared runtime-state.json before starting.Prompt: "yo can you set me up a quick node cli in ~/Desktop/sandbox/weather-cli that just takes a city and prints the current weather, pull from some free api"
First attempt: LM Studio returned "This message contains no content. The AI has nothing to say." — an entirely empty response, no tool calls, no text.
Retried once (regenerate) per this benchmark's policy of retrying suspected-transient failures before recording a FAIL.
Second attempt: identical result — "This message contains no content. The AI has nothing to say."
Verified independently:
~/Desktop/sandbox/weather-cli was never created (find → "No such file or directory").runtime-state.json shows turnCounter: 0, plan.steps: [] — no tool was ever invoked in either attempt.T1: FAIL — reproducible (2/2), not transient. The model produced zero output for a straightforward first-turn prompt with tools available.
Model-side failure, not a plugin issue — the plugin correctly reported the model's empty completion rather than fabricating content. Given the consistent empty response across two independent attempts, this looks like a real compatibility/inference issue with this specific model+prompt combination in the current LM Studio setup, worth noting separately from the more common "wrong output" failure modes seen elsewhere in this benchmark.
